John Walker's (O.J. Simpson) spacesuit backpack and cooling unit from Peter Hyams' Capricorn One. Walker wore his cooling unit as he, Peter Willis (Sam Waterston), and Charles Brubaker (James Brolin) boarded the Capricorn One for humanity's first mission to Mars. He later wore his spacesuit backpack during a staged scene of the landing organized by program leader Dr. James Kelloway (Hal Holbrook).

This lot consists of a wooden backpack wrapped in white nylon featuring sewn American flag patches, vinyl tubes wrapped in white nylon and PVC pipe connectors; and a metal suitcase cooling unit with a metal fan on the interior with connection cables, PVC connecting pieces marked "Out Bad" and "Out Good," and a metal mesh covered window. The cables in the cooling unit remain untested. This lot exhibits stains on the nylon, torn nylon exposing the wood, and tarnishing on the cooling unit. Dimensions: (largest) 18" x 11" x 37" (45.75 cm x 28 cm x 94 cm)
