A Chocki (Russ Tamblyn) puppet from Adam Resnick's fantasy comedy film Cabin Boy. Chocki, the offspring of a viking and a shark, saved Nathaniel Mayweather's (Chris Elliott) life twice.

This lot comes from the collection of Doug Beswick, an effects artist well-known for his stop-motion animation and creature effects work. This foam latex puppet is painted to resemble a man with a human torso and a striped shark's lower body. It features synthetic brown head and facial hair, a black nylon belt with an attached sheath, and a gray urethane sword. The puppet comes mounted with two metal rods to a wooden base. It has undergone sympathetic restoration to the tailfin and elbows, but nonetheless exhibits hardening, cracking, and deterioration throughout the foam from production use and age. Dimensions: 19" x 5" x 9" (48.5 cm x 12.75 cm x 23 cm)
