A male Bright and Shiny costume from Blair Hayes’ 2001 comedy romance film Bubble Boy.

Jimmy’s (Jake Gyllenhaal) been in a bubble all his life due to no immune system. One day Chloe (Marley Shelton) moves in next door and befriends Jimmy who’s fallen madly in love with her, however, her boyfriend proposes to her and she leaves for Niagara Falls. Jimmy must track her down to stop the wedding and confess his love.

The Bright and Shiny singing troupe helped Jimmy early on in his journey, they sang and danced for him and then showed him their ultimate plan to remove every one of their “desires”. Jimmy calls them out for being a cult and the group quickly booted him from their bus. The costume consists of a red and white T-shirt with the Bright and Shiny logo on the front and a pair of white jeans with rainbow patches on the back pockets. The costume shows minor wear from production use and ageing including discolouration and light staining, the costume remains in an otherwise very good condition.
