"You don't eat fish and chips? What kind of Scot are you?”

Prop editions of three newspapers used in the production of BAFTA-award winning UK crime drama series Broadchurch, Season 1.

The series won numerous awards, including a BAFTA for Best Original Television Music, a Sky South Bank Arts award for Best TV Drama and multiple best actor awards for Olivia Colman as DC Ellie Miller.

Created and written by Chris Chibnall, season 1 initially aired on ITV from 4 March 2013 to 22 April 2013. Set in the close-knit, fictional town of Broadchurch on the Dorset coast, the series begins with the murder of 11-year-old Danny Latimer. It follows the murder investigation by DCs Alec Hardy (David Tennant) and Miller, exploring the impact of suspicion and media attention on Danny’s family (Jodie Whittaker, Andrew Buchan and Charlotte Beaumont) and the wider community.

The Sunday Herald copy carries the headline 'My Danny: Exclusive interview with mother of the tragic Dorset boy' - copies like this one were used in episode 4. The Broadchurch Echo features the headline ‘Sub-Post Office Under Threat’. The Times reads, ‘Broadchurch Newsagent linked to child sex claims’.

Each newspaper is in excellent production-used condition.
