Two pairs of English soldiers' tunics and helmets from Mel Gibson's historical epic Braveheart. English soldiers wore tunics and helmets throughout the film as William Wallace (Mel Gibson) led his Scottish brethren against King Edward Longshanks' (Patrick McGoohan) invading army. The costumes were designed by Charles Knode, who was nominated for an Academy Award® for his work on the film.

This lot consists of two orange burlap fringed sleeveless tunics, both with gold-colour lion emblems painted on front, as well as two grey fibreglass helmets, both with leather chin straps and one padded with foam. One tunic exhibits blood-staining by production, and both helmets exhibit chipping from wear.
