William Wallace's (Mel Gibson) stunt Scottish claymore sword with truncated blade from Gibson's Braveheart. Scotsman Wallace wielded his signature longsword during numerous battles against the English.

Wallace's signature claymore was designed by noted armorer Simon Atherton and constructed with Del Tin blades based on real-world medieval-era Scottish broadswords. As the real Wallace was believed by some scholars to have wielded a customized sword of his own design, Atherton's version is similarly distinguished by personalized, yet historically accurate, detailing on its pommel and grip.

This sword, a less detailed stunt version, features the bottom half of a urethane blade painted silver and set into a distinctive cruciform crossguard with a matching scalloped pommel and leather-wrapped grip. Overspray and weathering applied to the blade by production demonstrate that it was wrapped with leather around the blade's base, though the leather has since been lost. The top half of the blade is believed to have broken off due to extensive use during production, with scratching, scuffing, and grimy residue around its breaking point still visible. Dimensions: 41.25" x 13.25" x 2" (105 cm x 33.75 cm x 5.25 cm)
