"The Blues Brothers" is a musical action comedy directed by John Landis, starring John Belushi and Dan Aykroyd as Jake and Elwood Blues, characters from their recurring "Saturday Night Live" sketch. Set and filmed in Chicago, the screenplay by Aykroyd and Landis combines wild antics with musical performances by James Brown, Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, and John Lee Hooker, alongside supporting roles from Carrie Fisher and Henry Gibson.
