Blade runner Rick Deckard's (Harrison Ford) screen-matched (learn more about screen matching) light-up binoculars from BLADE RUNNER 2049. Deckard was the human father of a half human/half replicant child, Ana Stelline (Carla Juri), a scientist who designed memories for replicants with the help of Officer K (Ryan Gosling), otherwise known as the Nexus-9 Replicant, KD6-3.7. Rick lived in an abandoned penthouse casino in Las Vegas and used binoculars to scan the dystopian horizon for intruders. The binoculars screen match based ont he applied distressing.
This lot consists of one pair of production-distressed binoculars composed of mixed materials including metal and plastic in black, red, and silver-color with a carrying strap. The eye sights are surrounded by a fitted face form for comfort. The binoculars feature a real optics system that allows the viewer to look through them. There is also an illuminating (electronic) red-colored readout within the eyepiece that is activated via a button on the right side. It also illuminates a red circle around the lens on the front side.
According to production wrap documents, this is the only binoculars prop created for the film.
The lot exhibits intentional paint chipping, nicks to the finish, and a buildup of grime, and remains overall in production-distressed condition.
