Blade runner Rick Deckard's (Harrison Ford) screen-matched (learn more about screen matching) LAPD 2019 PKD detective special blaster from BLADE RUNNER 2049. Deckard was the human father of a half human/half replicant child, Ana Stelline (Carla Juri), a scientist who designed memories for replicants with the help of Officer K (Ryan Gosling), otherwise known as the Nexus-9 Replicant, KD6-3.7. The memorable fan-favorite PKD blaster is the same style of blaster that Deckard used in the original Blade Runner film. This lot screen-matches, based on paintwork and scratches, to a close-up of K holding it in the rain before he pursued Luv's (Sylvia Hoek) spinner in the film's finale and also matches to a production photo of the gun in the scene with Freya (Hiam Abbass) meeting K.
This metal, double-barreled blaster features two triggers and a carved amber hand grip. It was built specifically for BLADE RUNNER 2049 using a commercially available prop replica of the Deckard blaster from the original film as a base. This example is missing its original light-up removable cartridge element from the underside of the gun and the side-mounted rod detail with green LEDs; this is how the prop was left by production. A replica removable light-up cartridge element has since been installed but it is not original to the production.
According to production wrap documents, this is one of four of this type of Deckard hero prop blasters that were created for the film.
Production used glue to stick the lever and cylinder in place so they would not move during filming. The lot remains overall in good condition.
Contains electronic elements; please see notice in the Buyer's Guide.
