Officer K's (Ryan Gosling) distressed costume with signature coat matched (learn more about screen matching) to Deckard's apartment scenes, amongst others, from BLADE RUNNER 2049. Officer K worked for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) as a "blade runner," an officer who decommissioned rogue replicants-bioengineered humanoid servants that broke free of their human masters-and retired them. The coat in this lot screen-matches to the interior of Deckard's (Harrison Ford) apartment where it was seen as a clean coat, as well as the scene with K in Bibi's Bar, and when K arrived in Las Vegas and walked around the abandoned statues in an orange light; it was later distressed and used as a bloodied coat in Deckard's apartment when K was on the floor wounded in the stomach by shrapnel and also when K looked at Joi's (Ana de Armas) sign in the rain as he held Deckard's blaster weapon. The bloodied shirt and undershirt were stored with the costume and likely worn with this exact coat.
The costume's components are:
•One dark-green cotton coat with faux shearling lining on collar and lapels, and quilted interior lining marked "K" (a label was originally present but has been removed)
•One bloodied black textured sweater with a tag marked "Med"
•One bloodied gray long-sleeve shirt with a tag marked "K"
•One pair of dark khaki pants marked "K 3"
•One pair of gloves marked "8.5" with a knitted yarn liner and decorative repair stitching
•One pair of unmarked black leather and rubber boots
•Two production tags
The lot exhibits production-added distressing: the coat, sweater, and shirt all exhibit various stage blood residue and holes, the pants and gloves exhibit some scuffing and fading, and the boots exhibit scuffed and nicked rubber; the lot remains overall in production-distressed condition.
Each lot is open for bidding for 22 days. If any bid is placed within the final five (5) minutes of the Auction Period, the Auction Period will automatically be extended by five (5) additional minutes. Please note that the timer may reflect that the remaining Auction Period is "0" but the Auction Period has not concluded because it has been extended by a bid made within the last five (5) minutes. It is the bidder's responsibility to refresh the page to determine whether the Auction Period has been extended. In any event, the Auction Period for any lot shall not be deemed completed until it states "Closed."
