Officer K's (Ryan Gosling) costume with his signature coat matched (learn more about screen matching) to the Wallace's memory vault scene, amongst others, from BLADE RUNNER 2049. Officer K worked for the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) as a "blade runner," an officer who decommissioned rogue replicants-bioengineered humanoid servants that broke free of their human masters-and retired them. The coat in this lot screen-matches tomultiple scenes including K's visit to Wallace's memory vault; in K's apartment building hallways after his fight with Sapper Morton; when K met with Gaff (Edward James Olmos); in K's apartment before the love scene with Mariette (Mackenzie Davis) and Joi (Ana de Armas); in the Las Vegas casino interior when he first encountered Deckard, and outside the building where he met memory designer Dr. Ana Stelline (Carla Juri). The boots match to Luv (Sylvia Hoek) and the memory vault scene. The sweater screen-matches to the scene where K did his baseline test after meeting with Dr. Stelline based on the decorative repair stitching on the left shoulder.
The costume's components are:
•One dark-green cotton coat with faux shearling lining on collar and lapels, and quilted interior lining marked "K" and "Ryan Gosling"
•One black sweater with decorative repair stitching
•One long-sleeve undershirt marked "K" at the interior bottom
•One pair of khaki color pants marked "K1"
•One pair of brown leather gloves (Size 8.5) with a knitted yarn liner and decorative repair stitching
•One pair of unmarked black leather and rubber boots.
The coat's collar was taped into position (most of the coats used in the film had the collar stitched or taped down to hold their shape), however the tape is loose and the collar can also be displayed in the upright position, though the tape is visible. The boots exhibit nicks and scuffs, the pants exhibit fading and small tears, and all items show minor scuffing and some wear, but the lot remains overall in good condition.
Each lot is open for bidding for 22 days. If any bid is placed within the final five (5) minutes of the Auction Period, the Auction Period will automatically be extended by five (5) additional minutes. Please note that the timer may reflect that the remaining Auction Period is "0" but the Auction Period has not concluded because it has been extended by a bid made within the last five (5) minutes. It is the bidder's responsibility to refresh the page to determine whether the Auction Period has been extended. In any event, the Auction Period for any lot shall not be deemed completed until it states "Closed."
