A set of original production used storyboard dye-lines used in the creation of the Ridley Scott sci-fi masterpiece Blade Runner. This unique ring bound booklet formed part of Ivor Powell’s personal collection as Assistant Producer on the classic movie, and focuses on the scene when Deckard encounters an inanimate Pris who springs to lift, beating Deckard within an inch of his life before he shoots her dead. The sequences was shortened and elements were altered for the final movie, such as the location changing from a gym to Sebastian’s house and the street, but is otherwise an interesting original representation of the scene.
There are thirty pages in total of dye-line printed storyboards, two per page, each with a brief line of description beneath. Many of the pages have pen and ink detailing as well as handwritten annotations, one spectacular one shows an alternate reveal of Pris where she is hanging and the panning shot takes up the entire page. It has a blue card cover that has paled around the edges with age. It is marked “Ivor”, “Sq 99” and has the movie title logo taped to the top right corner. This creates an awe-inspiring collection of artwork from the movie drawn by artist Sherman Labby, the booklet measures 31cm x 31cm (12.25” x 12.25”)
