Snowman’s (Donnie Yen) stunt armour and shoulder pad from Guillermo del Toro’s 2002 action-horror sequel, Blade II.

Blade (Wesley Snipes) forms an uneasy alliance with a group of vampires when a new breed of vampire, led by Nomak (Luke Goss), threatens both vampires and humans alike.

This stunt armour and shoulder pad were made for the character of Snowman, a member of a group of highly-trained vampire soldiers called the Bloodpack. Snowman is a master with swords, and Yen also acted as fight choreographer on the film itself.

The costume consists of black plastic armour plating designed to look like metal, held together with dark red rope. The ropes are looped through holes in the plastic and leather straps on each side are used to tighten the costume against Yen. The shoulder pad is made of black leather, with a large silver insignia on it.

As both are stunt pieces they show wear from production use, including noticeable scratching on the armour plating which has chipped the paint away. There are small areas of rust on the metal buckles, but despite this it remains in an otherwise good production-used condition.
