Blade's (Wesley Snipes) ensemble on display from Guillermo del Toro's Blade II. Blade wore his signature black leather ensemble for much of the film, including the scene where he was first introduced to The Bloodpack, and during the climactic fight at Damaskinos' (Thomas Kretschmann) lair against Reinhardt (Ron Perlman) and the Reaper Nomak (Luke Goss).
This ensemble was designed by Emmy-nominated designer Wendy Partridge, who also worked with del Toro on Hellboy. It differs from the one designed by Sanja Milkovic Hays for the first Blade film, featuring more ornate buckles and a different shaped vest.
It consists of a pair of Oakley Four sunglasses with dark nonprescription lenses, a leather coat with an intentional opening on the back for a sword, a padded faux leather vest with metal magnet buckles, an undershirt, a webbed nylon belt, a pair of faux leather pants, and a pair of boots. There is foam padding behind the right lens of the sunglasses. The ensemble is displayed on a custom-made mannequin featuring Snipes' likeness. This lot exhibits flaking on the vest, adhesive residue on the vest buckles, and adhesive residue where foam padding was once present behind the left lens of the sunglasses.
