Sergeant Matt Eversman’s (Josh Hartnett) costume from the production of Ridley Scott’s war movie Black Hawk Down. Forced by political pressure to try and capture a local rebel leader, the US military plan and execute a daring snatch and grab in the heart of Somalia’s capital, Mogadishu. But when the mission goes horribly wrong, surrounded on all sides by local militia, it’s up to the soldiers on the ground to save their brethren before it’s too late.
Eversman wears his camouflage uniform throughout the film, as he is placed in command of Ranger Chalk Four and battles with a large force of heavily armed Somalis. The costume consists of a beige long-sleeved camouflage jacket, a pair of beige camouflage trousers, a brown t-shirt (size large), a camouflage bullet proof vest (marked as Blood Eversm’), a pair of green socks and a pair of beige boots (size 10 ½ and marked with the text ‘Eversmann’. The trousers and jacket are made from matching tri-colour material, and the jacket features a ‘US Army’ badge sewn above the left breast pocket. A name badge reading ‘Eversmann’ is sewn above the right breast pocket, a US flag patch is sewn on one arm and a label on the inside of the jacket collar reads ‘Blood #2’. The trousers are marked as a size medium, have a button opening at the front and has the text ‘Eversm’ written in black on the waistband.

The costume displays signs of intentional distressing including a circular piece of foam exposed on the back of the bullet proof vest and marks on several components of the costume, creating a dirty and battle worn appearance. However, in spite of this wear, the costume remains in very good production used condition.
