A chimpanzee costume from Ted Post's Beneath the Planet of the Apes. Astronaut (James Franciscus) encountered groups of super intelligent ape soldiers after he landed on a version of Earth from far in the future.

This costume consists of a green jacket with brown leather panels and a Western Costume Co. label printed "2771 - 1"; a brown shirt with a Western Costume Co. label printed "2771-3"; a brown dickey; a pair of green pants with a Western Costume Co. label printed "2771 - 4"; and a pair of green simian-feet shaped boots. This costume exhibits discoloration and buildup of grime on the pants.
