A Sandworm puppet from Tim Burton's horror comedy Beetlejuice. This puppet was created
by the production for stop-motion sequences featuring the snake-like creature that eventually devoured Beetlejuice (Michael Keaton).
The lot is made of foam-filled, textured latex skin with a metal armature, and is painted in black and white stripes. The puppet features red eyes, a green mouth, and a dorsal fin that is attached via a thin, braided inner wire in order for the puppet to appear as one solid piece.
There are signs of age and production use, including cracking on the skin and minor paint wear, with the lot in fair overall condition. The metal armature is visible on the base end of the puppet which was not visible on camera and therefore did not require finishing. The puppet comes mounted on a custom display featuring the production title artwork, which illuminates when a switch at the back of the base is pressed. Dimensions (displayed): 18 cm x 52 cm x 39 cm (7" x 20 1/2" x 15 1/4")
