A blazer worn by Paul McCartney during a performance by the Beatles on The Morecambe & Wise Show, 18 April 1964, and the Night of 100 Stars charitable concert at the London Palladium on 23 July 1964. The Morecambe & Wise episode had been filmed at ATV's Elstree Studios four months earlier, on Monday 2 December 1963. The blazer is verified to be authentic via distinctive photo-matches.

The Fab Four wore striped blazers and boater hats to perform a light-hearted version of the song "Moonlight Bay" with comedians Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise. The Morecambe & Wise appearance features on Disc 1 of The Beatles Anthology. The Night of 100 Stars performance was in aid of the Actor's Charitable Trust and featured many other celebrities. The Beatles performed a flying ballet act and a short musical set. Initially, this jacket was saved from destruction during a clearance from the costume company Bermans & Nathans. It was also displayed at the Beatles Story museum in Liverpool in 2015.

Each of the five striped jackets, worn by the Beatles and comedian Ernie Wise for the musical number, were custom-made for the television taping. This particular blazer is made from a custom-printed fabric and was tailored to fit McCartney. The fabric features a distinctive cream-and-blue striped design, which meant the pattern was uniquely positioned in different places on each individual jacket.

This garment can be proof-matched to photos of McCartney standing with George Harrison, John Lennon, Eric Morecambe and Ernie Wise due to the distinctive placement of the stripes on the lapels and on two of the pockets. The striping placement on the pockets, near the top button, on one shoulder and near one side of the hem can also be matched to McCartney's jacket in an image of The Beatles during a rehearsal for The Night of 100 Stars.

The blazer is made of beige cotton with three pockets, and three metal buttons adorn the front. "Torbay Hire" is handwritten in black ink on the inside of the neckline, suggesting the garment spent time in the inventory of a costume hire company in the South West of England. The jacket comes with a replica boater hat, added to complete the costume. There are minor signs of age, including some marks and a small hole near the top button.
