A Viper Pilot Flight Suit made for the production of the updated version of the classic Sci-Fi series Battlestar Galactica. Made of a thick iridescent green vinyl, this uniform features numerous buttons, zippers, pockets, and a padded vest that has two buckling clips in front. In addition, both the leg and arm cuffs have button closures for a snug fit. Each shoulder has patches, one a Viper and the other a Battlestar Galactica insignia patch. Also featured on the costume are Captain rank pins attached to the collar and junior pilot qualification wings pin on the left breast, as well as a pre-flight checklist in a windowed pocket on the left knee. Multiple accessories come with the costume including a vacu-formed helmet with braided hoses and aluminum component detailing, a matching pair of gloves and a pair of hand painted sneakers.
This suit has been dressed on a mannequin for display however, it has adhered and shrunk around the body. As a result, this suit is adhered to the mannequin’s body and exhibits damage such as wrinkles and cracking. Removal from the mannequin is not suggested in order to preserve the flight suit. The paint on the shoes shows some wear from production use and one of the helmet’s tubes is separated. With these details in mind, this flight suit is in overall fair, but presentable, condition.
