A screen-matched, full-size malfunctioning communications drone from Ronald D. Moore's Battlestar Galactica. Communications drones were used to extend the range of wireless communication between ships throughout the series. Distinctive dents and deformities intentionally applied to the body of this drone screen-match it to the sequence in which a malfunctioning drone activated and hit a group of pilots celebrating Lieutenant Dwight "Flat Top" Saunders' (Colby Johannson) 1,000th landing in the hangar deck, killing 13 of them, in the Season 1 Episode "Act of Contrition."

This large, foam-filled fiberglass drone features a black-and-yellow finish, a gold-color front section, and a dark gray simulated thruster on its rear. The sides feature simulated vents, two small wings, and two top fins. Following filming on the drone drop sequence, this drone underwent sympathetic restoration by production for later reuse as set dressing. It exhibits grime, scuffing, and cracking to the hard outer layer with some small broken-open sections exposing the foam underneath. Dimensions: 55" x 21" x 13" (139.75 cm x 53.5 cm x 33.25 cm)
