Original Cylon helmet components from the original incarnation of the hit sci-fi series Battlestar Galactica. Reeling from a disastrous surprise attack by the artificial life forms known as the Cylons, the survivors of the Twelve Colonies band together under the protection of an antiquated warship – the Battlestar Galactica – in the hope of finding a new home out amongst the stars.
This helmet was made by the MCA-57 VFX model shop for the production of the show. The helmet comes in two halves and is made of vacuformed plastic. A thin piece of plastic is also present which would have been used to combine the two halves. Also included are resin pieces that form the mouth and eye-visor components of the helmets that have been painted grey and black respectively. The eye-visor component also comes with a resin piece that would have housed the lights in the Cylon’s eyes. These pieces show minimal wear and are offered in overall good condition.
