A Boray costume and mask from the sci-fi television series Battlestar Galactica.

This alien race appeared in the episode "The Magnificent Warriors", causing much trouble for the human settlers of the planet Sectar. The costume consists of a latex mask; a suede tunic; a pair of grey trousers with faux-fur trims; and a leather belt with an ornate buckle featuring an alien insect design. The mask is hand painted to look like skin, with faux hair attached around the head and face. Displaying the distinctive Boray head ridge and pig-like nose, the mask has holes for the eyes, nose, mouth and ears, and sits on a flock head to maintain its shape.
The tunic has "MPCC" handwritten twice in black pen and a faded "Universal" stamp in the collar, while the trousers are marked "Boarea W38". The items display some wear from production use and age. The latex mask has cracked and dried in places, most notably around the neck, where the throat has come away, and several small holes have formed at the top of the head. The costume has some scuffing and scratches, as well as mustiness from its time in storage. Considering the age of the piece however, it remains in an excellent condition.
