A static Penguin Commando from Tim Burton's Batman Returns. Once his plan to kidnap the children of Gotham began to fold, the Penguin (Danny DeVito) released his missile-wielding Penguin Commandos to destroy Gotham. Production used static penguin puppets to fill out the crowd of live birds, many of whom would not stay still for the duration of the sequence.

This foam penguin is moulded around metal rods and painted black, white, purple, and silver-colour to appear as if it is wearing a helmet and harness. It is affixed via metallic loops on the back with a resin rocket painted silver-colour with red and white stripes. The penguin exhibits cracking around its legs and discolouration around the helmet and fins from production use and age. Dimensions: 20.5 cm x 33 cm x 51 cm (8" x 13" x 20")
