A static Penguin Commando from Tim Burton's Batman Returns. Once his plan to kidnap the children of Gotham began to fold, the Penguin (Danny DeVito) released his missile-wielding Penguin Commandos to destroy Gotham. Production used static penguin puppets to fill out the crowd of live birds, many of whom would not stay still for the duration of the sequence.

This foam rubber penguin is molded around metal rods and painted black, white, purple, and silver-color to appear as if it is wearing a helmet and harness. It is affixed via metallic loops on the back with a cast resin rocket painted off-white with blue dots. The penguin exhibits cracking, paint flaking, and exposed foam throughout, most visibly on its underside, as well as discoloration from production use and age. Dimensions: 22" x 14" x 8" (56 cm x 35.75 cm x 20.5 cm)
