Batman's (Michael Keaton) Static Batarang from Tim Burton's 1992 caped crusader sequel Batman Returns. This time around, Bruce Wayne/Batman (Michael Keaton) must face off against the Penguin (Danny DeVito) who brings corrupt politics to Gotham, while Catwoman (Michelle Pfeiffer) hits the scene and stirs up acrobatic mayhem. Batman's batarang was updated for the sequel and was capable of seeking enemies, which would be displayed on the electronic tracking screen.
Made from a solid piece of resin, this piece is modeled after a boomerang and Batman's classic bat symbol. The wings of the solid batarang are layered, giving the impression that the unit is collapsible. The facing has four decorative black directional triangle buttons with a red circular button raised from the resin, however the buttons cannot be depressed. There is also a large discolored square in the center of the batarang, where a faux reflective screen was previously adhered.
One wingtip is broken and the wing features the remains of an adhesive tape, likely used to secure the piece for an effects shot. The solid resin piece is in otherwise good condition.
