Batman's (Michael Keaton)) bat logo with both handwritten and printed paperwork from the production of Tim Burton's Batman Returns discussing the design. Batman's signature bat-shaped logo appeared on his various costumes and devices throughout the film.

This lot consists of one white acrylic bat logo with nine pages of internal production paperwork discussing its newly updated design, including a black-and-white print of the logo, notes between Warner Bros. and crew members on WB letterhead and fax transmission paper, and a credits list for the production crew working on the logo produced by costume effects artist Mary Mason. Two of the pages feature handwritten annotations regarding the need for the logo to be symmetrical and precise, along with the need for approval from production designer Bo Welch and special effects artist Eric Allard of All Effects. This lot exhibits creases and folds in the paperwork. Dimensions: (largest) 3.25" x 8.5" x 0.5" (8.25 cm x 21.5 cm x 1.25 cm)

Additional Provenance: Two Letters of Authenticity from facilities manager Mary C. Claypool.
