A full-size, 25' replica of Batman's (Michael Keaton) Batskiboat made from original molds from the production of Tim Burton's Batman Returns. Batman (Michael Keaton) drove his hydrodynamic Batskiboat through the sewers under Gotham City to find Penguin's (Danny DeVito) lair, and later used it to destroy Penguin's duck vehicle to prevent him from escaping.
Batman Returns broke a number of box-office records and received Academy Award® nominations for Best Makeup and Best Visual Effects, including for the head of the 4-Ward Productions team responsible for building various scales of Batskiboat. It is today regarded among the most stylish of all Batman adaptations for its more Gothic Art Deco depiction of the caped crusader's bat-themed tech, which drew on designs created for Burton's first Batman film.
This massive, ornately detailed replica of the Batskiboat was constructed by renowned custom-car builder Jay Ohrberg using the original production molds for the full-size filming model. This distinctive vehicle splits into three pieces: a main hull, with a large scalloped fin and static jet engine (intakes in front, exhaust at the rear), and two bat-winged hydrofoils.
Each is constructed of fiberglass affixed to a steel tube frame with plywood supports and painted in Batman's signature glossy black. Also included is a matching display stand. The Batskiboat exhibits paint flaking throughout, as well as scrapes and scratches throughout its hull and hydrofoils from handling. It should be handled with caution. Dimensions: 300 x 193" x 97" (762 cm x 491 cm x 247 cm)
