Batman's (Val Kilmer) Bat-Goo gun from Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever. Batman used his Bat-Goo gun to take down Two-Face's (Tommy Lee Jones) henchmen as they attempted to rob the Second Bank of Gotham.
In keeping with his mythic commitment to non-fatal confrontations, Batman's Bat-Goo gun was designed to emit goo with various capabilities, including shocking its victims into incapacitation with electricity as seen in the film, as well as to create slippery or sticky surfaces as seen in the Batman Forever tie-in video game. Though only seen briefly, the Bat-Goo gun remains among the most visually distinctive weapons from Bruce Wayne's high-tech arsenal ever introduced in the franchise Batman Forever was ultimately nominated for three Academy Awards®, including Best Cinematography, Best Sound, and Best Sound Effects Editing.
This static weapon originates from the collection of Val Kilmer. It is made of resin with a rotatable plastic wheel, and is accompanied by 10 clear plastic orb goo cartridges, each fitted with resin bat-wing-shaped blades. The orbs had been filled with a brown gel but have since leaked their contents. Also included is a hard clamshell case lined with foam. This lot shows evidence of sticky residue in addition to wear consistent with on-set use, handling, and age. Dimensions: (gun) 9.5" x 8.5" x 3" (24.25 cm x 21.5 cm x 7.75 cm)
