A set of 16 National Bank of Gotham bills with five stacks of $100 bills from Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever. After teaming up, the Riddler (Jim Carrey) and Two-Face (Tommy Lee Jones) went on a crime spree throughout Gotham City, during which they stole stacks of cash and other valuable from a casino.
The film was nominated for three Academy Awards® including Best Cinematography, Best Sound, and Best Sound Effects Editing. Batman Forever received an MTV Movie Award® for Best Song from a Movie for "Kiss from a Rose" by Seal.
This lot originates from Planet Hollywood. It consists of 10 individual $50 bills, six individual $100 bills, one glued stack of nine $100 bills, one glued stack of seven $100 bills, one glued stack of five $100 bills, and two glued stacks of four $100 bills. Each bill is printed with the denomination, "National Bank of Gotham," "E Gothamus Unum," as well as the Lady Gotham statue on one side and an image of a man turning a wheel titled "Progress of Gotham" on the other. The lot shows evidence of intentional production distressing together with wear consistent with on-set use, handling, and age; including glue staining.
