The Riddler's light-up brain-drain machine from Joel Schumacher's superhero sequel Batman Forever. The machine was invented by The Riddler (Jim Carrey) and then mass-produced by his company Nygmatech as television equipment for the residents of Gotham City. It enabled The Riddler and his partner in crime Two-Face (Tommy Lee Jones) to read the minds of its users.
The machine features a resin conical base that is painted silver and has a clear plastic bubble window, beneath which is the Nygmatech name and logo. It also features a spiral tube light around the base; a metallic midsection with a rotating centre, onto which are fixed two green triangular acrylic appendages; a clear conical acrylic container filled with broken pieces of white plastic tubing; and a resin lid painted silver, at the centre of which is another clear plastic bubble window. The machine has a power lead emerging from its base that is connected to a box switch and a three-pin plug. When switched on, the spiral tube light illuminates, the green plastic appendages rotate, and a flashing light emerges from the bubble window at the base. The machine comes in a black cardboard box featuring the Nygmatech name and logo in green lettering and a picture of an illuminated machine at the front and rear.
