Batman's (Val Kilmer) panther suit from Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever. Batman wore his black "Panther Suit" earlier in the film before it was destroyed and he switched to the silver-colour "Sonar Suit."

The panther suit took some influence from the earlier Burton-era Batsuits, while also integrating Schumacher's unique vision of the iconic Batsuit, with the director comparing the anatomically correct armour to ancient Greek statues. Batman Forever held the title of the all-time highest opening-weekend gross for two years and the largest opening weekend of a Warner Bros. film for six years.

This lot consists of a black foam rubber bat-shaped cowl and matching bodysuit over a neoprene base mounted to a custom-made mannequin display; a heavy rubber latex cape; a pair of leather gloves with resin fins attached by metal pins; and a pair of leather boots. A zipper runs along the back of the bodysuit, and the back of the cowl features a square of self-fastener. The chest emblem and utility belt are made of resin.

The display form is attached to a rigid foam base designed to resemble stone. A replica codpiece was added to complete the display. The cape has been sympathetically restored to address a tear across the shoulders and down the sides. Reinforcing strips have been added to the cape to help support it. Two holes are present in the chest where the cape was initially bolted in with metal screws and this lot exhibits grime and foam fragility from wear and age.
