Dr. Edward Nygma's (Jim Carrey) Nygmatech Box, signs, and Gotham City envelopes from Joel Schumacher's Batman Forever (1995). In the film, terminated former Wayne Enterprises inventor Edward Nygma, aka the Riddler, launched his product "The Box," which Nygmatech marketed for its ability to beam television signals directly into the human brain but which secretly extracted information from users' minds for Nygma's own use. At a lavish Nygmatech celebration at the Ritz Gotham, he unveiled an advanced immersive version of the device and used it to covertly capture brainwave data from Bruce Wayne (Val Kilmer), later revealing that Wayne was Batman.
This lot originates from Planet Hollywood. It consists of a cardboard box branded "Nygmatech" in the Riddler's distinctive neon green palette and labeled "The Box"; two Nygmatech advertising signs custom-printed on glossy poster stock; and four envelopes addressed to "Dr. Edward Nygma" of "444 Huntsfield, Apt. 4, Gotham City, USA." The Box was previously displayed at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino Las Vegas in Room 2234.
Also included is an officially-licensed, hand-painted cast resin Riddler statue distributed by Warner Bros. as a consumer tie-in with the film's release. It was previously displayed at Planet Hollywood Disneyland Paris. The Box shows some scratches, crinkling, and edge wear. Dimensions: (largest) 7.5" x 7" x 14" (19 cm x 18 cm x 35.5 cm)
