A Joker (Jack Nicholson) 1:6 scale standing model miniature from Tim Burton's superhero film Batman. Miniature models were used for practical special effects during filming. This model was created for long distance shots during the Batwing attack sequence, where the Joker stood on his float as Batman (Michael Keaton) cut loose his mylex-filled parade balloons.

Derek Meddings, the British special effects legend known for his work on Gerry Anderson's "Supermarionation" projects, the James Bond film franchise, and the Superman films starring Christopher Reeve, was the visual effects supervisor on Burton's Batman, overseeing model miniature sequences.

The 1:6 scale model is constructed from foam around an armature, with a resin head, hands and feet. It is fixed in a standing position and dressed in a purple felt coat, with painted-on button details, a satin collar and a glued-on bow and flower, as well as checkered fabric trousers, with purple details painted onto the fabric. The face has been carefully painted with The Joker's signature clown makeup, and the hat is constructed from purple-painted card. The lot comes displayed on a custom-made stand. The model exhibits some paint wear, and is in fragile condition.
