Alicia Hunt's (Jerry Hall) mask from Tim Burton's superhero film Batman. Hunt cheated on her crime boss husband Grissom (Jack Palance) with his right-hand man, Jack Napier (Jack Nicholson). After Napier fell into a vat of chemicals, he returned as the insane Joker, and later disfigured Hunt with sulphuric acid to make her a "living work of art". To conceal her scarred features, she wore an unsettling mask. Batman won an Academy Award® and a Saturn Award, with the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror films also nominating the film for Best Costumes.
The mask is made of resin with a soft orange chiffon inlay, and is designed to resemble the face of a porcelain doll. A thin gold wash is applied to give it a worn, haunted appearance. Both of the mask's temple areas feature a small hole through which a piece of ribbon is threaded, allowing it to be worn securely. Darker patches in the chiffon inlay indicate the presence of makeup residue. The inlay also exhibits glue residue. Dimensions (mask): 20 cm x 14 cm x 8.5 cm (7.75" x 5.5" x 3.25")
