Barbarella's (Jane Fonda) chain-mail Sogo costume from Roger Vadim's sci-fi classic Barbarella. The "Queen of the Galaxy" wore her outfit as she and Pygar (John Phillip Law) flew to the debauched city of Sogo to track down Durand-Durand (Milo O'Shea). This is believed to be the first time this costume has come to market.

The film is a cult classic, well-known for its distinctive production design, costuming and campy aesthetic. It has also had an influence on wider culture, such as Jean-Paul Gaultier's costume designs for The Fifth Element and the name of British New Romantic band Duran Duran.

This costume comprises a white, sleeveless bodysuit with a zip running up the back; a chain-mail chest piece (hand-labelled "Barbarella"); a red belt with chain-mail skirting; and a black cape with chain-mail detailing. The chest piece and belt both feature labels from Farani Theatrical Tailoring, a Rome-based Italian costume house that has been providing costumes for films since the 1960s. The costume also appeared at the "You Say You Want a Revolution? Records and Rebels 1966-1970" exhibition at the V&A Museum in London from September 2016 to February 2017. The bodysuit has a hole on the right foot, and some of the circular chain-mail sections are slightly bent.
