Black Guard armor from Roger Vadim's sci-fi classic Barbarella. Leather Men under the command of the Black Queen (Anita Pallenberg) were known as Black Guards. They were large, humanoid robots with leather plated armor that covered their entire bodies.

The costume is made of brown leather and consists of a torso section, pants, boots, a helmet, a claw-shaped glove with a metallic dome detail, and a braided leather whip. With the exception of the whip and claw, each piece is detailed with layered segments of leather, creating a carapace effect. Some pieces feature handwriting on the interior: "Avanti D" and "Avanti S" inside the boots; "Rubughi" inside the helmet; "Solilati" inside the claw; "Paluzzi Marcello" and "Pachi" inside the torso, and numbering on each leather segment.
