A set of Black Guard armour from Roger Vadim's sci-fi classic Barbarella. The Black Queen's (Anita Pallenberg) troops were known as Black Guards. They were large, humanoid robots with leather plated armour that covered their entire bodies.

The costume is made of brown leather and consists of a helmet; a torso section; a claw-shaped glove with a metallic dome detail; a pair of trousers; a pair of boots; and a braided leather whip. With the exception of the whip and claw, each piece is detailed with layered segments of leather, creating a carapace effect. Some pieces feature handwriting on the interior: "Avanti" inside one boot; "Tomass Etti" inside the helmet; "Dacquisto" inside the claw; "Gima Luigi" inside the torso; and numbering on each leather segment.
