A ride vehicle flux capacitor from the Universal Studios attraction Back to the Future: The Ride. The attraction, which ran from 1991 - 2007 (2016 in Japan), showed Biff Tannen (Thomas F. Wilson) stealing the DeLorean for a joyride through time, with Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) and the audience in close pursuit. Original cast members Lloyd and Wilson and Steven Spielberg served as creative consultants on the project.

Described by Doc Brown (Christopher Lloyd) as "what makes time travel possible," the flux capacitor was the central element of the DeLorean time machine. It was mounted in the DeLorean ride cars throughout the attraction, and is made of a gray painted metal and hard plastic box marked "203" for the ride car it was mounted to with a clear acrylic window with acrylic and rubber flux capacitor parts within. The back of the box has a hole exposing the electrical cords. The window features labels on the interior and the box does not open. This lot exhibits grime and a crack in the window. Dimensions: 7" x 7" x 5" (18 cm x 18 cm x 12.75 cm)
