A Rehydrated Pizza Hut Wrapper from the classic 1989 Robert Zemeckis time travel sequel, Back to the Future Part II. This time around, Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) must jump back and forward through time in Doc Brown’s (Christopher Lloyd) DeLorean in order to restore balance to the space-time continuum. This back-up was created for the scene taking place at the McFly residence in 2015, in which an older Lorraine (Lea Thompson) hydrates a 3" pizza into a steaming 15" pizza in a matter of seconds. During filmmaking, a number of these wrappers were created, allowing actress Lea Thompson to open a new package for every take.
Made from foil, this wrapper features a variation of the Pizza Hut logo, with the classic flat red 'hut' with futuristic lettering. The wrapper indicates that this pizza is half pepperoni and half green pepper. Noted above the logo is a warning that reads: "Do not consume unless fully rehydrated," while the instructions below the logo reads: "Remove from foil rehydrate for 2 seconds." The foil features three sides that are sealed, with the top edge open (see photos). This item measures approximately 5.5" x 5.5" (14cm x 14cm) and remains in very good condition.
