A third draft screenplay from Robert Zemeckis's 1985 classic sci-fi comedy, Back to the Future. In the movie, a young man (Michael J. Fox) is accidentally sent 30 years into the past in a time-traveling DeLorean invented by his friend, Dr. Emmett Brown (Christopher Lloyd), and must make sure his high-school-age parents unite in order to save his own existence.
This screenplay is dated July 11, 1984, and features 117 pages of dialogue and action. Each page, including the Amblin Entertainment logo cover page, has been stamped "BTF 0117". Each screenplay that was printed and given out was assigned a number, as a means of making sure that it was not released to competing studios or the public. Included with this script is an inter-office memo asking Terry Leonard to sign and return the attached acknowledgement that the script is his alone, and not to be released. Anyone familiar with the movie would be able to read through this script and recognize changes that were made to the final production, including scene sequences as well as the name of the town. This script is bound on the left side with two brass brads going through the three-hole punches.
This item features some signs of wear from production use and age, including some bends in the pages, but remains in overall very good used condition.
