Cover concepts and a preliminary sketch for the cover of "A Match Made in Space" hand-drawn by Andrew Probert for Robert Zemeckis' Back to the Future. Having altered the past during his visit, Marty McFly (Michael J. Fox) returned to the present year of 1985 to discover his father, George McFly (Crispin Glover) was now a successful science-fiction writer, with the cover of his book "A Match Made In Space" seemingly based on when Marty appeared to him in a hazmat suit as "Darth Vader, an extraterrestrial from the planet Vulcan."

This lot consists of two sheets of tracing paper: one with three pencil sketches of potential covers with hand-written annotations including the note "Pick One," and one with a blue-ink preliminary sketch for the final cover with penciled-in numbers below it. Both pages exhibit crinkling and edge wear from use and age. Dimensions: (largest) 18" x 14" (45.75 cm x 35.75 cm)
