A light-up Weyland Antarctic snowcat model miniature from Paul W. S. Anderson's AVP: Alien vs. Predator. The expedition team led by Charles Bishop Weyland (Lance Henriksen) brought snowcats as essential ground transportation for their Antarctic mission to investigate the mysterious pyramid beneath Bouvet Island. After the vehicles conveyed the team to the newly formed tunnel leading to the Xenomorph-infested pyramid, Lex Woods (Sanaa Lathan) later walked to a snowcat to leave the area after being honored by the Predators following their hunt.
This ornately detailed PistenBully snowcat model was constructed from a variety of media, including resin, rubber, plastic, and metal, by the Prague miniatures unit. It features an operator figure mounted in the cockpit, serial number "WI-PBOO3-A" applied on front, model number "AJ-2" on the right door, and a metallic paint finish over its bed and chassis.
The orange emergency lights on the cargo backing light-up when the model is connected to a 9V battery. Also included are miniature versions of two doors, two static side lights, an antennae rig, and a snow-plowing tractor blade with its nonfunctional lifting mechanism, all of which have come detached from the main model since production. The snowcat comes mounted inside a glass case designed to resemble the expedition base camp for display. It exhibits small broken elements along its body, punctures in the lifting mechanism, and grime throughout from storage. Dimensions: 30" x 18" x 18" (76.25 cm x 45.75 cm x 45.75 cm)
Contains electronic components; see notice in the Buyer's Guide.
