Officially-licensed replicas of four Predator weapons as seen in both Paul W.S. Anderson's AVP: Alien vs. Predator and The Brothers Strause's Aliens vs Predator: Requiem. In Anderson's film, Predators used their high-tech Yautja weaponry during their thousand-year hunt for xenomorphs in Antarctica. In the Brothers' film, the Predator known as Wolf (Ian Whyte) used Yautja weaponry to take down a monstrous hybrid Predalien, as well as the humans in his way.
This set consists of limited-edition, full-size replicas of a light-up Predator plasma cannon, a ceremonial Yautja dagger, a six-bladed shuriken, and a dual-headed spear (known in-universe as a combistick). Each was created by Sideshow Collectibles in partnership with Academy Award®-winning special effects group Amalgamated Dynamics, Inc. (ADI), who created the production originals for each weapon.
The replicas are all exactingly hand-cast, hand-finished, and hand-painted from a variety of materials - including resin and urethane for the cannon, polystone and urethane for the shuriken, metal for the dagger, and polystone, fiberglass, and metal for the combistick - to match the weapons used in the final cut. The cannon is designed to illuminate the Yautja runes engraved along its length red via a magnetized battery compartment concealed on the side.
Also included are Sideshow Collectibles display stands for each weapon - including one for the cannon hand-numbered "194/500," one for the dagger hand-numbered "087/500," and one for the shuriken hand-numbered "ADI 750" and signed by ADI co-founder Tom Woodruff Jr. - as well as pamphlets explaining Sideshow's creation process for the shuriken and plasma cannon. The weapons are intentionally distressed with nicks, weathering, and mottled paint to appear well-used in battle. The edition numbering on the spear's stand has faded, rendering it illegible, and the tip of the dagger has broken off. Dimensions: (largest) 40" x 20" x 15" (101.75 cm x 51 cm x 38.25 cm)
Contains electronic and mechanical components; see notice in the Buyer's Guide.
