A screen-matched Necronomicon Ex-Mortis puppet from Ash vs Evil Dead. The Necronomicon tempted Ash (Bruce Campbell) to keep and use it while he cut up the remains of his evil doppelganger and Amanda (Jill Marie Jones) in Season 1, Episode 9, "Bound in Flesh." The book continued to have the ability to talk throughout the rest of the series. This puppet screen-matches to Season 2 episode "DUI" when speaking to Pablo (Ray Santiago) from the back seat of the possessed car. It also matches the scenes where the book spat out the word for Pablo to read that would break the bond between them due to the unique creases on the bottom edge of the book, as well as the unique aged pattern on the pages.

This book is made of silicone skin painted in shades of brown on a wood frame with a hollow back. It has a column of silicone to control the mouth and a plastic and metal spring-loaded apparatus to control the upper face hand-marked with "+" and "3" in black ink. This lot exhibits chipped and flaked paint, as well as raw edges and discoloration. Dimensions: 9.25" x 11.5" x 2.5" (23.5 cm x 29.25 cm x 6.5 cm)
