A Yater Kilgore "Airmobile" surfboard replica from Francis Ford Coppola's Apocalypse Now. Lieutenant Colonel Bill Kilgore (Robert Duvall) instructed members of his squadron to either surf or fight. A very limited run of 90 collectible boards were made by Yater Surfboards of Santa Barbara California in 2006. Revenue from the original run of the boards was donated to the Vietnam veteran rehabilitation program "Outward Bound Wilderness" as recommended by Apocalypse Now screenwriter John Milius.

This longboard is made from wood coated in resin fiberglass, customary of Yater Spoon models, and painted with a dark olive gray with a red lightning bolt trim. Both sides feature "Lt. Col W.M. Kilgore" near the nose along with Kilgore's horse shield crest and "Airmobile" printed in orange and black. On the top side, a green and cream "Yater Santa Barbara Surf Shop" logo located near the tail, and was hand-numbered "84/90." The surfboard also has a black skeg, and comes with a silver-color nylon bag. This lot exhibits some scuffing to the finish, scratches, and chipped paint. Dimensions: 109" x 23" x 13" (277 cm x 58.5 cm x 33 cm)
