George Lutz's (Ryan Reynolds) stunt axe from Andrew Douglas' The Amityville Horror. Foreshadowing the violence to come, George used his axe to cut firewood in the early events of the film. Later, as he fell under the influence of the voices, he began to terrorize his family with it, and also killed the family dog, Harry. While in a possessed state, George imagined striking his wife, Kathy (Melissa George), in the stomach with it. This lot consists of one foam axe with a rod on the interior for support and stability. Production purposefully distressed this axe to give it a grimy appearance. This lot exhibits some discoloration at the bottom of the handle and flaked paint. Dimensions: 35.25" x 8.25" x 1.5" (89.25 cm x 21 cm x 4 cm)
