A rubber stunt rifle used in the 2010 espionage thriller The American. After an attempted assassination in Sweden in which he has to kill his lover, American gunsmith and contract killer Jack (George Clooney) flees to Italy. In hiding and left forlorn with regret, he is given one final job by his handler – construct a specialist weapon for another hired assassin.
This weapon is a rubber stunt version of the hero piece, used for scenes when a hero, working version of the weapon was not required. Made of hard and soft rubber with metal armatures for rigidity and strength, the weapon is based off of a cast of a Ruger Mini-14 with special modifications – a scope rail, a precision sniper scope, a folding stock and a long, menacing silencer.

Featuring minimal wear from use on set and time spent in storage, the weapon remains in a very good production-used condition, measuring 118cm (46.5“) long when assembled.

The violent crime reduction bill means that this particular prop can only be sold to customers who reside outside the UK. Generally speaking, it is illegal for a resident of the UK to buy this item.
