A briefcase and dollar bills from Doug Liman’s 2017 biopic comedy American Made.

Based on the true story of Barry Seal (Tom Cruise), an American pilot who became a drug-runner for the CIA in the 80s, in an operation that would eventually become known as the Iran-Contra Affair.

This brown hard-shell Samsonite® briefcase was used in the production and one can be seen being held by Barry during a montage where he goes into various banks and deposits money with them. The briefcase comes with fifteen bundles of (fake) dollar bills, both $20 and $100 denominations. The case is covered with a brown faux-leather and clips open and closed with the metal latches on the top. The inside features a beige material with a stitched diamond pattern.

This set exhibits some minor wear from production use, including some scratching and damage around the latches. Some of the faux-leather has come away from the cover, revealing the material underneath. Despite this the piece remains in an otherwise very good condition.
