Daniel Vinyard's (Edward Furlong) essay signed by actor Furlong with death scene continuity Polaroids from Tony Kaye's drama American History X. Teenage skinhead Vinyard (Furlong) was killed in his high school bathroom while carrying an essay he wrote for Dr. Sweeney's (Avery Brooks) American History X class. At least two different essay props were created--one seen coming off Vinyard's printer, and another that was rolled up for the bathroom scene. This prop essay is attributed to the bathroom scene.

The prop consists of a three-page, typewritten hero essay labeled "Daniel Vinyard - American History X - Dr. Robert Sweeney - 3/3/97" and is signed "Not Enough Blood" by Furlong on the front, a reference to special effects artist Tom "Brooklyn" Bellissimo being asked to re-do the impactful scene with even more blood after the initial attempt was not shocking enough for the director. Also included are five graphic continuity Polaroids from the death scene. The lot exhibits some dirt stains and edge wear throughout from production and handling.
