At the film's end, after Russell (Billy Crudup) verified William's (Patrick Fugit) article and Rolling Stone ran it as a cover feature, a stack of copies was placed outside a shop.

This paper magazine cover depicts the members of the Stillwater band on its front page, while various advertisements and articles can be found on the inside pages and the back page.
